Hi!! My name is Gracie Athus, and I am so excited that you are here! I’ve been wanting to compile life lessons and poetic ramblings on a platform that brings out the small artistic side I’ve always had, but never quite knew how to ignite.

Oh, I should probably introduce myself some more haha. I love Jesus, working out, making others laugh, getting to actually know people far beyond what meets the eye, traveling, and reading. There’s a lot more I could say, but I believe the best way to get to know someone is to study them. I invite you to get to know me through this lovely medium called blogging.

Which reminds me: words are powerful. In fact, James has a lot to say about the tongue. He mentions in James 3:7-9,

” For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God.”

I do not take lightly the influence that my words have on people. I’ve made my fair share of mistakes saying things I should not have said and being quick to speak rather than being quick to listen (James 1:19).

My goal on this platform is to share relevant reflections on life through having just lived life and mistakes I’ve made all while pointing you to the One whom even the wind and waves obey His very words.
